License & Continuing Education (CE) Requirements
DC CE Renewal Requirements
Chiropractors – DC’s
- 40 hours of approved continuing education (CE) is required each biennium.
- 2 of the 40 hours must be approved for Professional Boundaries and Ethics
(NEW for 2025-2026 Biennium) - 4 of the 40 CE hours must be approved Nutrition hours to maintain Chiropractic Nutrition Certification.
- Up to 8 of the 40 CE hours can be obtained through an approved online program that is at least 50% synchronous (LIVE) in format.
- Certification in AED is required for license renewal.
- Two (2) credits on AED/CPR course work may be counted toward the continuing education requirement every biennium.
CT/CRT CE Renewal Requirements
Chiropractic Technicians – CT’s
- 6 hours of state-approved CT continuing education (CE) each biennium.
- Up to 2 of the 6 hours can be done online.
Chiropractic Radiological Technicians – CRT’s
- 12 hours of state-approved CRT continuing education (CE) each biennium.
- Up to 2 of the12 hours can be done online.
Have both CT/CRT Licenses?
If you have both CT and CRT licenses, CE course credit will apply to both licenses if the course is approved by the state for both CT’s and CRT’s. NOTE: Those with both CT and CRT licenses only need a total of 12 CE credits per biennium (not 18 CE’s)

Recently Licensed?
If you received your license AFTER December 15, 2024, you do NOT need to take continuing education hours for this biennium renewal, but you do still need to complete the Renewal process through DSPS by the deadline. To check your renewal date, sign in to your account through the LicensE portal.
