Disability Policy Benefit
Available to all CSW Chiropractors AND their employees!
The CSW has created a new and innovative Disability Plan for ALL of our members including DCs, CTs, CAs and CRTs. Details for our two plan options are listed below, as well as 4 NEW offerings.
Two Options Are Available to CSW Members:
- Option 1 for DC and Employees: The Primary Program that we have established is a Very Comprehensive Group LTD Plan that insures your specialty throughout the disability benefit period. Not only have we established the Plan for you as a Doctor but also for all of your employees. Since this is a group plan, to be eligible for this program, you must have a group of two or more that work at least 20 hours a week. This is a Guaranteed Issue Program with a 90 Day Elimination Period, to Age 65 Benefit Period and a Monthly Benefit of 60% of your income up to $10,000 for Doctors and $5,000 for all other Employees.Please note, the price for this program is very competitive: In most cases, the premiums to provide coverage to not only yourself, but everyone in your practice have been lower than what many doctors are currently paying for their own personal coverage that has lower benefits and is not as comprehensive in benefit provisions.
- Option 2 for DC: For those Doctors where you are the only person in your practice, there is an alternative individual contract, with a major insurance carrier, that will also provide comprehensive coverage insuring your occupation to age 65.

The following are the particulars:
- These 5 carriers offer the most competitive premiums for term insurance contracts in today’s Market Place.
- Issue Ages are between the ages of 18 and on up
- Minimum Amount of coverage is $100,000
- The type of coverage is 10, 15, 20, 30, 35 or 40 year guaranteed Level Term Contract
- Each Contract is Convertible to Whole Life or Universal Life without Proof of Insurability
- All of the variety of today’s underwriting classifications are offered
What is the process for quoting and applying?
- First you enter in basic information regarding yourself, some simple health questions and the coverage that they are interested in.
- Once the information is entered, you will then obtain quotes from each of the carriers.
- You then choose the plan that you want to apply for and then press submit
- Once the carrier has your submission, they will then contact you in order to complete the actual application and place it into their Accelerated Underwriting Program.
- If you are approved under the Accelerated Underwriting Program, a policy is approved and issued.
- If for some reason you do not qualify, the application will go to the full underwriting team for further underwriting.

Buy-sell Document Review - NEW
A Statistic that should be known about Family Business Transfers:
Less than one-third of Family Owned Businesses survive transfer to the Second Generation, 12% to the Third Generation, and only about 3% to the Fourth Generation.
The following are issues that need to be reviewed regarding your Buy-Sell Agreement:
- When was the last time the Document was reviewed?
- What Type of Buy-Sell Agreement do you have?
- Does the 2024 Supreme Court Decision Connelly vs. United States affect your Buy Sell Agreement and its Funding?
- If you reside in the State of Wisconsin, does your Buy-Sell Agreement Address the Wisconsin Marital Property Law and have your Spouses signed the Agreement?
- Does your Agreement have a Schedule where you record the Value of the Business Each Year
- Does your Agreement stipulate how an Owner will be bought out upon a Disability?
- Does your Agreement stipulate how an Owner will be bought out upon a Retirement?
- Does your Agreement stipulate how an Owner will be bought out if the Owner is leaving on Bad Terms?
- Will any of the Terms of the Agreement in regards to an owner being bought out over a period of time, place a stress on the Business and affect the profitability of the business?
- Is the Business Valuation Method within your Agreement up to date and current with today’s market place?

He will provide you with the appropriate forms to install the program within your Clinic. If at any time you would like him to stop by your Clinic to go over anything, he would be more than happy to do so.
In closing, we think that once you see the Program that has been designed for you and what the cost of the program is, you will agree that the CSW Option 1 plan is by far the best LTD Program available to you and your employees.
